I hoped to get hassle free car hire and didn't anticipate having an accident. It was fully comprehensive so apparently no need for excess. Bit perturbed when they wanted me to leave my wife at the airport while we went to get the car (about 500m away) but we avoided that thankfully. Signed for a VW Polo as per my request. Bit basic but happy to go. 1/4 tank so to return 1/4 tank. No extras to pay. All good. Day 3, passenger window seized up so went in on the way past and they replaced the car immediately with an even better, newer VW Polo. Very good service. All good. Day 4, driving out for lunch and some local tycoon (apparently) was tailgating me for a mile or so and I had 2 cars coming in the opposite direction so had to stop. Everyone stopped in good time except tycoon man who rode straight into the back of me. We exchanged details (he said tell them to phone him, they would know who he was) and I took the slightly dented car back in. After checking we were all ok, we were told there was no problem, that there would be no repercussions to us and THEN they asked whose fault it was?? and did we want another car. I said it was fine, we'd keep this one and off we went. True to their word, not a single repercussion. Dropped the car off and travelled home. Superb.I can only imagine if I'd used a 'cheaper' place I'd have instantly been charged 1500 euros which I'd have to claim back on another excess policy (which we usually do take out). Very impressed at their positive attitude. Will use these again and I 100% trust their 'comprehensive' insurance.
