Extremely well thought out device

I am writing this to balance out the previous review. I recently purchased and returned a Tractive pet tracker ( my Trustpilot review can be found). I decided to try the PetTracer as it didn't rely on cellular network unlike most other GPS trackers. I have had it two weeks now after a three week wait for delivery. I had initial problems with software compatibility with Apple devices and customer support were very helpful and extended my two week trial for a further two weeks but that is not necessary. This is the one for me ( or rather Bella). We live in a densely populated area on a hill which limits the range for instant location feedback. But if out of range, the collar simply stores GPS data points and uploads the info once back in range. Over time I will get a good feel for where she hangs out ready for when I need to go searching if need be . The clever bit and the company's USP is that the collar also has a radio search function. I can tether the receiver to my phone and go and walk to the last known point or her usual haunts and instigate a search. To me I think this company has the edge over other devices. GPS is useless if she is stuck in a shed or a house. The radio function enables refining the location. For this reason I am keeping the tracker. It is a better shape too compared to the bulky Tractive device. Bella doesn't notice it on ( to be fair, she didn't mind the Tractive either).I do not need to know where she is every minute of the day but I do need to be confident of what her neighbourhood looks like and of the ability to find her if stuck inside a building ( using RF). I am using these early days to force lots of searches ( GPS every 15 seconds) to gain an idea of her habits ready for when I really need to go looking for her.Edit 8 Oct 2020: Bella came back without her collar today. It was out of range from home but I tethered the receiver to my phone and was able to get a GPS signal after a short walk so had a rough idea where to go. I then refined the search with the radio function and was able to find the collar.
