My mentor was really good. I enjoyed working with him. He was always friendly, supportive, and knowledgeable. The Polygence platform was also very helpful in keeping track of the project progress. The only issue was the first round of writing feedback -- Polygence didn't tell me what format to use for my paper when submitting it for writing feedback. So, I submitted a PDF, and the reviewer seemed upset by this (going by her messages/comments to me). I had to go back, upgrade to a paid Overleaf account, and then give my reviewer access to my Overleaf document. This miscommunication could have been avoided if Polygence had given me more upfront details about the writing feedback format, etc. Even better would have been to have the format somehow integrated into the platform.
