I had a roof and siding claim due to a wide storm declared an emergency area by FEMA and the state of Texas. First off, they denied my claim. The adjuster first showed up an hour late without a ladder; I have a two-story home. He was lucky because my fantastic roofer let him use his. Then, my roofer and I watched him fumble through the inspection. My roofer had to point out all the damage and what made sense. 2 months rolled by, and they denied my claim, stating the damage was below my deductible. So I appealed once again. My fantastic roofer took over 15 pictures with chalk markers showing the hail damage. My roof and siding have the same damage as everyone on my block, which is evident, and they all had gotten their claims approved through multiple insurance agencies. Now, here I am at insurance renewal time, and the claims rep will not return my calls or respond to the roofer and insurance broker's emails, nor respond to messages I left with their team. According to the appeals process, they are supposed to send out another adjustor or engineer, but crickets. Now I wonder, did I have insurance this whole time after giving this company several thousands of dollars?
