I booked a room for my daughter for a Xmas event, prior to booking I joined the Hilton Honors to get a better rate.I chose this rate and booked the room. After receiving my receipt I noticed they had charged me the full rate. I then looked at their website for the same day of the week the following week (both in December so busy time)I paid £195 for ONE person to stay in a room, the following Thursday it was £60 ?I rang them and queried the rate and the fact I had paid over 3 times the rate for the same day the following week !They stated I had not selected the Honor rate and rates fluctuate.I asked if they thought it was acceptable to charge someone this much more, I was basically met with silence and the robotic response of rates fluctuate !NEVER again will I book a Hilton based on being completely ripped off !
