I have been ordering from Yummy Bazaar on average twice a month in the past two or three years. Typically I order toward the end of the week, and the package is delivered to my door the next Wednesday or Thursday. I order mostly when they offer free shipping for orders of $49 or more. When ordering chocolate (Zanzibar mostly -- so good!) in the warmer months, they warned me that they will not take it back if it melts during shipping, and asked if I really wanted to order it. If I order crackers or cookies (those made in Europe have less sugar) some arrive broken -- I think that is quite normal, and really no big deal as the pieces are just as good. The problem, right now, is their supply lines. It looks as if they were unable to get restocked (although I saw some of the items they sell at a local 'gourmet' grocery store). Is someone trying to get Yummy Bazaar out of business? No way to know, I am just a customer.Another thing in favor of Yummy Bazaar: they never asked me to tip their employees: this may be a more recent trend. On a recent order from Supermarket Italy (I believe it had to be over $80), I was asked to tip their employees, and I refused to do so. If they can't pay their staff, they should not be in business. So, I hope Yummy Bazaar manages (is allowed?) to restock soon. Meanwhile, I will make do with what I find at Kroger's and other local places.
