When I received my two 25 lb boxes of lemons I was immediately concerned. The FedEx cubes they were packed into were bulging on every side with lemons. When I opened each box, the lemons were very tightly packed. The pressure inside the boxes was so great that I actually found a lemon that was split in half.The lemons were very soft and, I would say, bruised from their trip to me. Within 4 days of delivery I had two molded lemons (that I know of so far) and I expect that these mold spots occurred because of the pressure inside the box and the beating they took from outside the box.I was so excited about finding Zava Ranch but this experience was very disappointing for me, perhaps because my hopes and anticipation were so high to begin with along with my rather large investment in the quality produce that I expected to receive.
