Our trip was well planned and organized! Communication between our agent was excellent! The drivers and guides were informative and attentive to our wishes. Very nice accommodations at most of our overnight stays. (Be prepared for steep stairs without rails especially in the rain of the Mattera cave hotel.) We found we would rather be within walking distance of restaurants and shopping rather than at a resort with no other options for meals. Our two wine tastings were superb as was the olive farm visit with a plentiful lunch. We especially enjoyed visiting and learning about the caves in Mattera, the Trulli homes, and Mt. Etna. The day trip to three villages from Lecce was a long day with not much to do or see especially on a Sunday. Rome was extremely crowded. Our guide said that is the norm these days. Glad to have gotten out of the city to Tivoli and Hadrian's Villa for a day! Naples was also crowded and we visited many cathedrals - three too many for our liking.FYI, We used self service laundry several times due to the high cost of having a hotel send out dirty clothes to be laundered. Overall, it was a fantastic trip!
