It was my daughter's 7th birthday today and she was very excited to eat at Zizzi's (Glasgow Silverburn). She had even picked out her meal prior to our visit from the Bambini menu. On arrival we waited by the entrance until one of the staff members came over. She quite rudely told us the restaurant was full and she did not have a table for 3. I could see a couple of empty tables and equired when one might become available. We were told 'I don't know, could be 10 mins, could be 15'. I then asked if we could add our name to a list and come back later but was advised this was not an option. She gave the impression that she was too busy and just wanted us to leave as the restaurant was full.i've always held Zizzi's in high regards but this visit was awful and the woman was incredibly rude and dismissive. We walked away in the end with my daughter in tears. The woman who served us was possibly Eastern European, with curly hair and a stripy shirt. She certainly was not an asset to the Zizzi team today and didn't show even an ounce of professionalism or empathy. I feel so strongly about how we were treated that I have since followed up with a formal complaint to Zizzi's Head Office and am awaiting their reply.
