Zopa claims to offer the reliability of a high street bank with the ease of app banking, but their standing order system proves otherwise. Payments falling on weekends aren’t retried, and customers aren’t even notified when a standing order fails.Because of this, I missed the funding window for my regular saver account. When I raised the issue, Zopa admitted they don’t retry or notify, refused to backdate payments, and told me I “could have resolved it by checking my account within the month.” That’s not reliability — that’s negligence.A bank that shifts blame onto customers instead of fixing basic safeguards is simply incompetent.
