I booked about 5 busses, 1 train and a private taxi in Morocco. For my first bus journey the bust company watsapped and asked me if I could take the earlier bus as the one I booked was full. I thought this was odd, but went with it.
I went to Tunisia next, intending to book a train to and from Sousse from Tunis, the train times were not very good on the outward journey so I opted for a private taxi instead, for the return I booked the train. 24 hours before the train I relaised that I had not been sent the ticket, so I reached out to Customer services who responded very quickly, saying not to worry and they would chase it. A couple of hours later I recievd an automated message from 12go with notification of my "refund for ticket!" , no explanation or anything, I contacted the CS again and was told that the train was full so my ticket was cancelled and I was refunded, I could not get a reasonable answer to the reasonable question "I booked and paid you 6 days before, how did you take my money when there was no seat for me " ? Did they not pass on my booking - did the train company just take the money ? I got my money straght back but I was then just left trying to get myself back when it did not occur to me that I would have to think about it again. I was told that if I need a guaranteed ticket, I need to only book through the options say say "ticket guaranteed" - sorry but that makes no sence, nobody on earth books a travel ticket thinking "I don't really need this ticket, but I will just book it anyway" . I am just so relieved that I found out this random policy on my last journey, not my first as I would have been constantly wandering if I would get my tickets.
I decided to get a cab from my hotel concierge to get back, not take another chance on 12go.
