Let me start by saying 1st Folding weren’t my first choice for our kitchen doors. I was initially wooed by the New Wave Door slide and fold system but this turned out to be a huge mistake and 1st Folding saved the day. Long story short New Wave measured the aperture incorrectly (I should have known as they normally refused to measure) and the doors didn’t fit on arrival resulting in a (at the time of writing) 8+ week delay. I was desperate to get doors ASAP as we had already had two snowy cold snaps and no kitchen for 3 months plus I was unable to give the other contractors (flooring, kitchen, decorators) an installation date.1st Folding came in and with excellent professionalism and communication had doors fitted just 2.5 WEEKS later. I was blown away and couldn’t fathom how I’d been messed around for so long by New Wave. The door (Origin 4 panel bifold) is clearly very high quality - smooth operation and well insulated -and looks fantastic. What is really really important in these difficult times is customer service - some businesses e.g New Wave are barely able to operate in the current climate - you can’t even phone them. 1st Folding however ensured I had the Director’s mobile number and WhatsApp and even the head office responded to my emails without more than a few hours delay. This gives me great comfort for the level of after care I can expect to receive. They don’t ask for 100% payment upfront, you can pay with credit card, and they take their own measurements.I wish I had gone with 1st Folding right from the start and I thoroughly recommend you do the same!P.s. they also installed a ‘glass box’ light well in the side return extension which is absolutely fantastic so I also highly recommend their other glazing solutions.
