On 10/21/2025, we purchased the Magnolia Manor Antique White Splatback Side Chair Set of 2 at their advertised sale price of $288.79. On 10/27/25, the seller cancelled our order and refunded our money. We noticed on their website that the item we purchased is now advertised for $494.92. We called the seller to find out what happened. The two people we talked to both claimed the reason for the cancellation was because the item was discontinued. We asked why the item was still on their website at a much higher price. They said that was a mistake and the item will be removed by the afternoon. We did not believe that this item was discontinued. We have ordered other pieces of the Liberty Furniture Magnolia Manor from another furniture store. So, we called Liberty Furniture directly to see if this was indeed discontinued. Liberty Furniture informed us that the Magnolia Manor is one of their best sellers and this item was not discontinued. We called the seller back and ended up talking to someone in their sales department. The salesman said he would check into it and call us back within 30 minutes. We never received a call back. At last check, the Magnolia Manor Antique White Splatback Side Chair Set of 2 is still posted on their website at a higher price and can be shipped in three days. Apparently, the seller made a mistake on their pricing. Instead of honoring their advertised price or, at the very least, coming clean and working with us, they decided to cancel our order and lie about the item being discontinued. This was our experience buying furniture from 1stopbedrooms.com.11/5/2025 Update: The so called "discontinued" item that we ordered and subsequently cancelled by the seller, the Magnolia Manor Antique White Splatback Side Chair Set of 2, is still posted on their website at a price of $474.43. For a company that touts "excellence in service" in a lot of their responses to these reviews, they have made zero effort, to date, to right this wrong. The company has our order number and our contact information. It's laughable that they did this over a relatively small order that they could have easily corrected if they would have reached out to us instead of cancelling and lying.Anyone on the fence about purchasing from this company should research them on bbb.org. Take particular note of the "Pending Government Action." This should give you a realistic picture of the kind of customer service you will actually get if something goes wrong with your order.
