Outrageous pricing. A £49 call-out fee, then £300 for a job that took less than 10 minutes to tighten a kitchen tap that was supposed to stop a leak. I was shocked at the cost! After the technician left, we discovered the leak was still present, so I called back. A representative promised to send the engineer again, but after several calls, no one showed up. The next morning, they claimed no record of my follow-up. Eventually, the engineer arrived and said I needed a new tap, which he had on his van for an additional £60. Out of desperation on Christmas Eve, I agreed to this, only to find even more water the next day. A different plumber explained that the repairs had been overtightened, damaging the washers and valves. I’ve emailed the service for a refund, but after reading other complaints, I don't expect a reply or refund. I feel like just another elderly customer who has been taken advantage of. The cost was shocking. The engineer called the office for pricing and told them he was there for 10 minutes. I was utterly taken aback! He insisted that if I didn't pay £349, his van wouldn't leave my property. This service should be reported to trading standards and shut down, which I plan to do after the holidays. If I could give zero stars, I would. Over £400 for worse leaks than I started with, which is half my pension for the month. I'm devastated and financially strained!
