READ THIS BEFORE YOU RENT ON 24RENT.FIMy experience:I rented a truck for 3 hours on 24rent.fi and pay 55€.First surprise:10 minutes after completing the booking, I receive an email from 24rent.fi telling me to pay an additional 150€ caution. If I don’t pay, I loose the 55€ because the booking cannot be cancelled. So I pay, I have no choice.Second surprise: A few hours later I unlock the truck, go check the trunk and discover that the floor is dirty with snow mud. Not a problem, I will cover the floor with cardboards to protect my furniture. And so I did.I use the truck for 3 hours , move my furnitures, go to the gaz station and refill the tank. And here is the mistake I make: I fold the cardboards, and leave them in the truck thinking « it will be very useful for the next customer. »I lock the truck and leave.Third surprise: A few days later, I receive an email from 24rent customer service, saying that they will keep 50€ on my 150€ caution because a few cardboards have been left in the trunk and they had to remove them. I reply that « I left the cardboards to help, the floor was dirty so I had to protect my furniture. 50€ for removing them is a lot, don’t you think it is unfair? »They reply that « We had to remove the cardboards so we will to charge you 50€ »Brief Summary:You pay the rent, you are forced into paying a 150€ caution, and now they can charge you whatever they like.End of the story, I lost 50€, they lost a customer.No anger, just information.
