A few weeks ago I left a five star review. However I have to be honest here and say that this second review post work is a fair reflection of my experience this time around. Ordinarily I find the team v good to deal with. Unfortunately this time has been a terrible experience. I left the bike in for a service and had new brake pads and a brake bleed also done. When I received the bike back the breaks were not working properly. I phoned and queried this and I was informed that they needed time to bed down. A couple of weeks later the breaks were still not working properly. The full chain replacement I had done a couple of weeks prior then snapped completely. With no breaks and no chain I almost had a terrible accident as I had no control over the bike. I had to walk the bike home for over 7km in the lashing rain. When I called the company to detail the mechanical failures of the work they had carried out I was informed that they were doing me a favour in collecting the bike for a repair. As the bike is my means of transport and a replacement bike was never offered I’m not entirely sure how they would imagine they were doing me a favour. I was lucky I wasn’t hurt or that I didn’t hurt anyone else. It is outrageous that the new chain would snap and that new break pads I had just gotten replaced would fail. Worst experience I’ve had at this normally good bike shop. V disappointing, wasted a lot of money and time on a fault ridden service and chain replacement.
