My experience with 50five has been extremely disappointing. I have reported multiple times that my Alfen charging station keeps showing the error message indicating that the charging cable needs to be plugged in, even though it is already connected. What makes this even more frustrating is that my car — a BMW X1 Hybrid — charges perfectly fine on other charging stations.
After some investigation on my own, I even discovered that a firmware update resolves the issue when used in combination with my vehicle. I shared this information with 50five, hoping it would help them solve the problem quickly. Unfortunately, I never received any response to any of my support requests.
Calling them is impossible. Their AI agent claims to create a support ticket, but sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn’t. No one ever follows up. No one contacts me. No one is reachable. It feels like they are only interested in selling products, not in supporting their customers afterward.
This level of service is unacceptable. Why would anyone want to continue doing business with a company that ignores its customers and leaves them without solutions?
