I purchased a Tokyo fixed gear bike. Kept getting punctures, was told to upgrade the tyres to continental gator skins so I did ($200 with tubes) then that night exploded in the lounge room having not even been used. After three trips to my local store and half a dozen phone calls, I YouTube’d why and after taking the wheel apart you can see every single spoke hole has super sharp metal burrs from drilling, so the inner tube punctures on them when brought up to the correct psi. Don’t buy the bike without being prepared to file every one of them by hand and use high pressure tape and or replace the wheel set all together, and don’t get talked into expensive products you don’t need, $200 on tubes and tyres that didn’t need replacing to begin with if anyone had taken the time to just actually look at it properly.
