Extremely Disappointed with the Service

I reached out to this service to see if they could restore the Windows OS on the same day. I was informed that it should be feasible after inspecting the laptop. Once I brought it in, I was quoted £150 and agreed to proceed solely because I was assured it would be completed that day. Shortly after leaving, I was informed it wouldn’t be ready until the following day. I accepted this delay. What should have been a one-day recovery turned into a five-day wait, with constant excuses about 'downloading updates from Microsoft.' Yesterday, I visited the shop and found my laptop turned off and left untouched on a shelf, while the technician was engaged with another task — despite having just assured me on the phone that he was actively working on it. This morning, when I called for an update, he became rude and aggressive, ultimately hanging up on me. Today, I finally picked up the laptop. As anticipated, he tried to charge me more for work he never completed. The price abruptly increased from £150 to £200, without any prior notification. After I objected — likely because another customer was present — he lowered the price to £180, which is still above the initially agreed amount. At no point did I receive information regarding any price change, nor did I authorize extra work. To make matters worse, the job wasn’t even done correctly. He openly admitted that he failed to install the specific drivers for the laptop. I ended up spending over two hours downloading and installing all the necessary drivers myself after retrieving the laptop. In summary, I paid for this service to: Leave my laptop on a shelf for five days, Miss every promised deadline, Try to overcharge me, And leave me to complete the job on my own. This experience is utterly unacceptable. There was a complete lack of professionalism, transparency, and customer service. I strongly advise avoiding this service to save your money and time.
