My last three Freestyle sensors have either not worked (i.e. not picked up by the reader on initial application), been significantly out in relation to an actual blood test, or have fallen off early (Despite following the instructions to the letter, and trying everything from applying medical alcohol to wrapping tape around my arm). This is during normal use by the way. I'm not climbing the Eiger or doing 12 rounds with Anthony Joshua! At £50 a sensor, definitly not value for money. I have found that the quality of the product has decreased in the last 3-4 months.I know its more of a faff, but stick with the blood sugar testing. Its accurate and won't cost you a small fortune in erratic sensor reading. Finally, I have returned every faulty sensor to Abbott, but never had any feedback as to why they didn't work in the first place?
