I've been meaning to write a review somewhere for a while. I was asked, but I figure my information might be useful anyway. What I like about Abby:- It offers CBT. CBT is a systematic response to correct unhelpful thought patterns. Research consistently proves its efficacy in a lot of areas.- It refers you to a liscensed therapist when it feels like it is out of its scope.- It doesn't feel like a person, so you don't have to feel bad about trauma dumping. It won't have to think about anything you say. It'll never talk to it's own therapist to heal from the emotional load later.- The paid version lets you delete old chats.- It doesn't incentivize overuse. So, for me, I was looking for a chatbot type thing to anonymously help me correct thought patterns for a reasonable price. This does it. I also want to use the caveat that I used this in conjunction with regular therapy, but the app did summarize the key points to bring up with my therapist and my therapist was hugely relieved to hear when I finally "got it" 😄. I have already been recommending it to my friends. I think, in the future, it could help a lot of people for whom traditional therapy is out of reach.
