Ive had a storage unit in Erdington since September 2025. Originally I was given a 6 month discount to price match and offer made elsewhere, however the manager had charged me the full price instead of the agreed discount, so he extended my discount period which should have covered me until June 2026. This was confirmed via email. I received an email in February to advise me that the full price will be going up in March, so I went into the unit to confirm with the manager, who advised me they would not be able to honor the agreed extension of June. I explained in that case then I would be due a partial refund of 1 month as he had overcharged me in the original 6 month period and I agreed not to refund, based on the extension period alone. After some back and forth he advised he would be able to extend it until April, and then the unit would be charged full price from May. Today I have noticed that I have been charged the full amount instead of the still promised discounted amount. The majority of the staff are really lovely, unfortunately the manager Dean does not seem competent and doesn't keep agreements that he has made. Most the time he doesn't actually seem aware of what hes actually agreed to. Definitely don't think the manager is as professional as he should be, which lets this unit down.
