Review Time
I went through Groupon to find a company to service my HVAC system. I chose AC Plus Heating & Air as they had a great price (including up to 1 lb. of freon). The only problem I have with using Groupon is the varying length of time to use them. Usually between 3-6 months. There are several positives one of which is even if you fail to use your Groupon in the allotted time frame you never lose the monies paid. Now to my experience with AC Plus Heating & Air. The PROS- 1) They honored the low price I paid Groupon. 2) They got a tech out within a week which was important. 3) The tech was a nice enough guyIt is important to note my A/C unit is in the attic and I am a totally and permanently disabled USAF retiree. I medically retired at the age of 22 as a result of sustaining a broken neck. I make this point as because of that injury I was paralyzed on one side of my body so I can't climb a ladder. So the tech shows me my attic light bulb is broken. I had mentioned to the tech about my injury and showed him the "holes in my head I wasn't born with" that were from the halo traction I was placed in to keep my neck straight and healing properly. I stated, "I've a light bulb right here if you want to be a nice guy and remove the broken one, replacing it with the new one." His reaction was non existent. We go outside to the other part of the HVAC unit that he looked at and mentioned that I needed to get leaves out of the unit. He showed me the 4 screws that I would need to remove after turning the power off to AC unit. He inferred he could do the job but after being charged $185 for a capacitor (took him all of 10 minutes to do) I was afraid to ask how much. I figured it would be upwards of an arm & a leg. There was another part that would likely need to be replaced in the not too distant future. That was going to be $280 or so. As I am getting my house ready to go on the market for sale soon I wasn't giving that company more money. After all is said and done for the amount of time the job took and how little was truly done I'll be looking for a new HVAC company. I have to ask around to see how many HVAC techs would have replaced the broken light bulb for me, a DISABLED VETERAN. I would have given the guy $10 to do it.
I was really impressed with AC Plus Heating & Air. From scheduling the appointment to the completion of the repair, everything was handled professionally. The technician was knowledgeable and took the time to explain what needed to be done. The pricing was fair and transparent. It’s great to find a company that values customer satisfaction so highly!
Just want to give a big thanks to AC plus Heating and Air for taking care of my AC needs a complete unit install Carlos was great had great customer service! Travis and Larry the installers were great and amazing the work came out better than I expected highly recommended. They were respectful and courteous.
