It's not a scam, but it's obvious that your email address is getting shared and probably how much you donated. I can't say I blame them. Fund raising is not easy. It may be spam, but not a scam. If you're worried about a transaction, check your credit card account activity online. I've been using ActBlue for several years without any surprise charges. I'll admit, years ago, I did have an overcharge because the "one time or monthly" buttons defaulted to "monthly", And the donation buttons defaulted to the highest amount! Nowadays, those buttons default to "one time" with no default amount. I think they learned their lesson when they got lots of complaints. I called to complain and they reversed my unwanted transaction without any trouble. All in all, I rate ActBlue 5 stars because they make it so easy to donate money to candidates. As with any transaction READ THE FINE PRINT. It will tell you exactly who will receive your donation.
