As everyone else experiences, contribute to one candidate and you will get barages from EVERY other Democratic candidate and cause forever. Going forward, I will only send checks. There should be a way to blanket STOP all such texts but, as far as I know, you have to do them one at a time. Several times a day.
I contributed to various candidates over the course of several years through them.As of September 2025 or so, I started getting numbers of spam texts with “ActBlue” in the url.At one point it was up to 8 every single day.I contacted customer service at ActBlue. They promised me that my name was never provided to any candidates I didn’t specifically donate to.Now, six months later I am getting up to 10 spam texts from candidates I’ve never heard of, all the with ActBlue in the url. Every single day.As much as I spend my time deleting and reporting every one, the next day I have ten more. It just doesn’t stop.I want to sue them for releasing my information to every Democratic candidate. Any ideas?
Getting text spam from these ‘people’. Hope I don’t trigger the furries.
Anyway STOP sending me unsolicited SMS. Doesn’t allow an opt out. Pretty sure that’s illegal.
Link sent: James Talarico here. President Trump's FCC is trying to censor our movement. Chip in to help us overcome it and get our message out.

Typing END and STOP has become a misbegotten aspect of daily life for me ever since naively contributing to the Harris campaign. Today I would like to support Alex Vindman in Florida but Act Blue seems the only way to do so. My $100 is going to stay put rather than contract more digital cooties by donating through Act Phew.
Do not give this organization your phone number as the endless texting can not be stopped regardless of inputting Stop or End after their texts. Also, I sent an email asking to be removed but they sent me instructions on how to go to their website and remove my info which I did with no success!!’ This has gone on for over a year!!!
Actblue says they do not share your phone number- bullshit. I donated through them and now I am flooded with requests for money- from dog catchers in Maine to city council members in California. Unsubscribing , STOP, doesn't work and too many different numbers to block. This has been going on for 6 years!!!! SERIOUS REGRET USING ACTBLUE!
Act Blue made my donation a recurring one, even though I did NOT indicate it as a recurring monthly donation. Act Blue Customer Service, CareIT.Just Answer, charged me five dollars just to speak to someone about it, stating the $5 could later be refunded, but their IT staff did NOT call me back as promised NOR did they address my issue. A day later, I noticed “CAREIT.JUSTANSWER” had charged my credit card an additional $50 even though they never even called me back to provide any service to address the issue!
I've made several donations through ActBlue, but after receiving endless unsolicited text messages and emails requesting donations, I deleted my account about 2 years ago. I continue to get spammed with donation requests from various organizations, sometimes up to 5 a day. I don't know if they are still selling my contact info, but the damage is done. There are countless fundraisers so it doesn't matter if you report them as spam or block their numbers. I'm fed up and wish there were a law preventing them from doing so. Sorry to say, I no longer donate to ANY campaigns because of this.
Actblue is a spammer. Your phone will absolutely blow up if you make even a single donation. And there's nothing you can do about it. They "claim" they don't sell your data but they do. I get dozens of texts per day and no amount of blocking or stopping works.
