Review Time
This is the second time I have supported one of my Performing Arts Students at the wonderful Actors Studio. Set in the epic surroundings of Pinewood Studios and easily accessible via a free and friendly shuttlebus service from West RuislipTrain Station. This is a warm and wonderful environment for budding Screen Actors to a) Gain some valuable experience and hands on knowledge b) Receive a filmed professional looking and edited scene for their showreel at the same time! The professional Tutors make everyone feel at home - and encourage a friendly group dynamic in which everyone supports each other to do their very best. I will certainly be bringing future students back to the Actors Studio and I would encourage anyone who wants a taste of what it's like to act on screen to attend this reasonably priced and brilliantly run workshop!
Great teaching from Mel! I would have liked to practise more on camera and learn a few more tricks. Time could have been managed better, for example I didn’t find the scenes with a frase each useful for the learning. Overall though Mel was tremendous, she really took the time to decipher what she needed to say to you to improve your work.

Working with Actors Studio for my showreel package, was a great experience. Everyone was so friendly and helpful; from Taz the Director, the supporting actors to the rest of the crew. They made the day run as smoothly as possible and were very professional throughout. Finally, Helen was a great support from start to finish and explained all aspects of the showreel package, clearly and professionally. It was a joy to spend my day at Pinewood and work with such a great team. I hope to work with them all again in the near future!
I’ve done a few courses now at The Actors Studio (one day Screen Acting with Tim Kent, 5 Day Screen with showreel also with Tim Kent and Expanding the Emotional Range of the Actor - Jon East) and the quality of the courses is top notch! The tutors are encouraging and REALLY know their stuff, the film teams and behind the scenes team are very professional and all fantastic to work with. It’s a joy to work with them and thanks to my showreel, I’ve landed a great job too in a series!
