Review Time
To be brief, for (4) months I have been working with STS, I was told last week that I was approved, however, yesterday got notice that my application had been denied. They would NOT give the reason why. Again, I had been told for weeks now that I was approved, they were sending information and even had a home visit planned with Jamie Baldwin. From the beginning I had spoke to Joan, and Teresa about the poor experience I had with another organization and how they would no longer allow me to host. That was (4) months ago! I was told by Ms. Teresa that my application looked good and once I to an updated family photo things would be set and things would get rolling. Well, they lied to me!! They do check other organizations and if another organization states that you are not eligible to host then they would deny you to host with them!! I am furious!! I gave them this information from the beginning and even repeated this information to Jamie Baldwin who confirmed that the organization does not check other organizations. Be smart and avoid this organizations!!! They will lead you on for months. I have hosted for 14 years and my rep is retiring and need to find another organization with a rep in the area! They were even going to help me with this!!! ( another lie!) I told them that I had even worked for another organization for years but they no longer had a rep in the area so I had to look for another organization! My point being: this organization is not very bright! They need host families and you would think that someone who has hosted for 14 years, and worked for an organization that they would bend over backwards to take me, but leads me on for 4 months and then drops me like a worthless piece of shit! Stay away from them!!

STS is an amazing organization. I went to the US for 5 months with them and I had a great time. With STS, I feel seen and not like I am just a number for them. Every time I had a question or a problem, they helped me solve it. I would recommend STS for anyone!
Our son was an exchange student for one year in Italy and had a fantastic experience and now also have learned Italian and has made fantastic friends an feels like he have an extra family. I think overall there was :1) Good information before the trip with experienced people from STS preparing the kids and also nice to meet all the other exchange students that were about to go to hear their questions and thoughts2) Well organised with families , and while being in Italy there was local staff that helped out with organised trips to see the country and having meetings with the other exchange students to share experience and have fun3) When there was problem , the organisation helped out to solve them in the best way and also giving a status monthly how the progress was in school and to learn Italian 4) Also good staff at the office in Göteborg to support us parents when it got into some challenges or when we had questionsThanks
STS is a great company for students who want to study abroad. Before I started my exchange they really helped me prepare and also while I was there I was in touch with my agent.I also think that it is good that students have the opportunity to post on social media for STS.
My daughter spent six months in Canada during the summer semester of 2025. These months and this experience will stay with her for the rest of her life. From the very beginning, STS provided us with a wealth of information and support. Every phone call before departure and all the documents for preparing for the stay abroad were helpful and very well prepared. If you asked my daughter today whether she would plan another stay abroad with STS, she would say yes immediately, and I would support her with a very good feeling. I had an amazing exchange year (2024/2025) with STS Education and couldn’t be happier with my experience. From the very beginning, STS helped me with all the preparations and documents: all the information was clear, organized, and made me feel confident going into my year abroad. Every time I had a question, STS responded very quickly. What stood out the most for me was how personal and supportive the experience was. STS is a smaller organization, which means they really get to know you. My local coordinator during my exchange year was amazing and was always there when I needed help or had questions.Everything was taken care of and ran smoothly throughout the year. Because of this, I was fully able to enjoy my time abroad. I would 100% recommend STS to anyone considering an exchange year. It was the experience of a lifetime and something I’ll carry with me forever.
