I’m JW. I’m 20 years old, and I make music under the name McCatter. Before I joined Best Music Coach, I was a self-taught producer. I had a few songs on Spotify, but I felt lost. Making music felt like throwing a dart in the dark. Sometimes I hit the target. Most times I didn’t. I was slow. I got overwhelmed. I didn’t really know why things worked and felt like i might not be up to the task of making amazing songs.
I found Dan on YouTube through his reaction to the Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4 OST. I loved the passion and the deep breakdown of the music. It made me think, “Okay, this guy really understands the importance and value of art and how effective music can be for conveying emotion, telling a story , and connecting with others.” So I joined.
One of biggest changes for me was music theory. It felt like someone turned on the lights in a dark room. Now I know what I’m doing. I understand keys, intervals, triads, and harmony. I write faster. I finish projects. I don’t just guess anymore.
The mindset training was the biggest thing for me. It made me think about the kind of life I want to live. Do I want to look back and wish I tried to become a musician when im 85? Or do I want to go all in now, and reap the benefits in the future, knowing I am following my dreams? That part changed how I work.
Since joining, my music quality has gone up, especially in the mixing stage. My latest release got more views in one day than my old tracks got in months. I’m now working on a full soundtrack for an indie game with a friend. I would not have believed I could do that a few months ago, but anything is possible when you set your mind to it.
I’m more confident. I move faster. I know how to fix problems instead of avoiding them. For me, this wasn’t magic. I had to work. But if you put in the work, it works.
Before joining the coaching program, I often started music projects but never saw them through to completion. I had multiple drafts and just one finished piece, but I struggled with mixing, releasing, and knowing the next steps. This left me feeling stuck and unmotivated due to a lack of direction. After becoming part of the program, my entire approach shifted. I now have the skills to complete my drafts, mix my tracks, and bring them to release. I've already launched my first piece and am in the process of creating the next. I feel a renewed sense of confidence and excitement about my music. The feedback from the community, the coach's guidance, and the structured process have significantly impacted my progress. Daily reminders and instructional videos keep me on track. I finally feel like my music journey is gaining momentum. I'm truly grateful for the opportunity and only wish I had enrolled sooner.
Before joining Best Music Coach, I was stuck. I bought a MIDI keyboard because game music moved me, but I had no plan, no teacher, and no clear way forward. I felt lost and unsure if I could really do this.Finding Best Music Coach and QuesTone changed everything. The courses are clear, step-by-step, and built so total beginners can win. It felt like a game—progress bars, small wins, and real momentum. Now I understand music at a basic level. I can spot patterns, use a DAW, and actually finish songs. Releasing my first piece felt amazing. My friends noticed my growth, and even my dad said he’s proud—that meant a lot.The community is kind, helpful, and motivating. Feedback is real and encouraging.Taking this course was a risk, but it was the right one. If you want to make music and don’t know where to start, this works. On behalf of everyone you will help with this—thank you!
Before Best Music Coach, I had put music behind me. I played in marching band in high school, then became a software developer. After that career took a bad turn, I wasn’t sure what to do with my life anymore. Music was something I loved, but I never thought I could create it or make it a career. Then I found Dan. His opportunity made me ask, “Wait… maybe I can be a composer.” I felt like the thing I invested over a decade into was leaving me behind. Now I feel like I’ve taken control again. I don’t have to do what I “should” do. I can do what I want to do.I used to think music was just something for my free time. But this program showed me I could take that passion and build a real future with it.I was very isolated before. Best Music Coach gave me a community that actually cares. We share the same passion for music, and we help each other keep going.I first found Dan through his video game soundtrack reactions. One day a video popped up saying there was an opportunity to start a music career. It got the gears turning. It sounded too good to be true—like something you’d spend years and tons of money learning in college. But the program has lived up to every promise. In just a couple months, I released my first piece and already have more on the way. I’ve even submitted soundtracks to indie games. I never thought I’d move this fast.My biggest doubts came from myself: Can I keep up? Can I really do this? But this program hasn’t only grown my music skills—it’s helped me become productive again, healthier in my mindset, and so much more confident. Before this, I wasn’t eating or exercising right. Now, just trying to match the energy of Dan and the community pushes me to take care of myself. My family and friends have noticed the change in my mood. I feel like I finally have purpose again. If you have doubts, that’s normal. I had them too. But after even one month in the program, you’ll be shocked by how far you can come. This program is worth the time and the investment. The weekly meetups are huge—accountability, support, and seeing others just like you working hard. The courses are packed with years of college-level knowledge, but taught in a way you can actually use right away. And yes—Dan really is that involved. He doesn’t just make content. He actually coaches us, checks in, and brings the exact energy so many of us have needed for a long time.If you think this might be too good to be true—it’s not. Give it a shot. I’m so grateful for the support, the knowledge, and the mindset shift this community has given me. Three months ago I never would’ve believed I’d feel this way. Now I just want to get back to making music.
Before I found Best Music Coach I was completely lost in a vast desert of knowledge. I wanted to be a musician, I had a vague idea of what to do and where to go, but there were so many different things around me that I didn’t know which way to turn. Then I found Best Music Coach and it was like discovering a map in the desert that actually showed me how to get to the places I wanted to go.Honestly, I felt kind of hopeless. I knew what I wanted and I sort of knew how to get there… but I didn’t really know how to get there. The most valuable lesson I’ve learned here is that I was trying to do way too much and I simply couldn’t keep up with it all. I was isolating myself – friends would go months without seeing me. One friend in particular struggled because he didn’t want to “bother” me while I was busy. When I made music I was trying to cram in every instrument, every effect, spending hours upon hours upon hours (upon hours, upon hours…) on single parts of a song that ultimately didn’t even sound good because I overcomplicated everything. I thought I had to make my songs complicated because that's what the "pros" do.Now? The two best pieces I’ve ever made – the ones that came out during my time with this course – are some of the simplest songs I’ve ever written in my life. They sound great and between the two of them I spent maybe 12 hours total.I’ve been a huge Toby Fox fan for years. When Deltarune Chapters 3 & 4 dropped I played them immediately and devoured every soundtrack analysis I could find. One day I realized the streamer I’d been watching for years – Best Music Coach – was doing a full breakdown of the soundtrack. During the stream he mentioned he had courses. I thought: I’ve watched this guy for years, I know he knows his stuff. I signed up that same week. Life has thrown absolute chaos at me since joining – two and a half months with no internet, weeks of power cuts after a massive storm, being bedridden twice… yet the course is so fluid and well-structured that I still managed to get through three levels of music theory, a bunch of other modules, stay active in the community, and release two fully produced songs. Realistically I’ve had maybe three full days where I could actually work on music. So basically two finished songs in three days.Four years of making music before this course and yeah, I “released” tracks on YouTube… but if I listen back now I cringe. I wouldn’t upload them today. I walked in with zero doubts because I’d watched the coach for years and done my research – everywhere online people said the same thing: he explains things in a way normal humans can actually understand. Where I am now: two songs released, a third in progress, and the biggest difference is I finally understand proper composition and theory. Theory used to feel like this terrifying, overwhelming behemoth. Turns out it’s just a bunch of simple, intuitive rules – especially the way they’re taught here. I used to obsess over “fixing my mixes” when the real problem was the composition itself. You can’t polish a bad arrangement in the mix – that was the single most valuable realisation I’ve had. I’m a lot more confident now. I used to sit frozen for hours (sometimes days) worrying whether I could even do it. Now I know I can. I can actually plan and compose proper songs instead of randomly throwing notes together. If life wasn’t so hectic right now I’d have way more time for family and friends. With everything I’ve learned I could now produce the same volume of music I used to make in a fraction of the time and actually be present for the people I care about. The courses themselves are incredible, but the community and the weekly Saturday meetings are what make this unbeatable. I’m not working in a vacuum anymore. I get proper, specific, constructive feedback from people who actually know what they’re talking about instead of just “I like it” or “I don’t.”This hasn’t just taught me music – it’s teaching me how to live as a musician. From the very first call when we spent ages sorting out my finances (longer than we talked about music!), to the countless hours of personal advice on things completely unrelated to notes and chords… because without life working, the music doesn’t get made. I’m not going to say it’s changed my life yet – my day-to-day is still messy – but when I look back years from now and try to pinpoint the moment I stopped “making music” and actually became a musician, it will be this.If you’re reading this and wondering whether to join: ask yourself what you really want. If you want to become a musician, there’s a button that says JOIN. Press it. It’s that simple.
Before Best Music Coach, I would start music but never finish it. I had drafts and one finished piece, but I did not know how to mix, release, or what to do next. I felt stuck and lost motivation because I had no clear direction. After joining, everything changed. I now know how to finish drafts, mix my music, and take tracks all the way to release. I already released my first piece and I am working on my next one. I feel more confident and excited about making music. The community feedback, Dan’s help, and the clear step by step process made a huge difference. The daily accountability reminders and videos keep me moving forward. I finally feel like my music is going somewhere.I am really glad I joined and I only wish I had signed up sooner.
My name is Timothy Allen. My artist name is Maple Colossus! Before joining this program, I was mainly playing drums to my favorite bands and learning songs that I loved. I’ve always had this little voice in the back of my head telling me that I should make music for myself too, but I never really gave myself permission to do it. I tried some free apps here and there, but I never took it too seriously. I’ve always wanted to create my own songs, but I never felt like I had the tools or knowledge to do it. Honestly, before joining, I had a lot of doubts. I didn’t know if this program would really work for me or if I’d just fall back into old habits and stop after a few weeks. I’d seen other courses online that made big promises, and I was worried this might be the same thing. I thought maybe I didn’t have enough skill, time, or that I’d get overwhelmed and give up. But after talking with Dan during the first couple interviews, that totally changed. He just got it. He understood what I wanted to do, and the way he broke things down made it feel actually possible!Since joining, it’s been awesome and it gave me everything I felt like I was missing. The accountability, the structure, the community, and the tools all help me stay focused and inspired to make music! I finally had people around me who were doing the same thing, creating awesome music and inspiring me to do the same. It taught me how to set routines for myself, stick to them, and actually follow through. The first big win for me was finishing and releasing my first piece of video game music ever!!! Before this, I’d never finished a full song, and now I’ve made something that sounds legit. It’s been heard by people in the community, it’s been vouched for, and it actually sounds like the music I hear in my head. That feeling of hearing it all come together from start to finish was just unreal. It made me feel proud of myself. I can finally live up to my dreams and call myself a music composer - it’s an incredible feeling! The magic for me was understanding how melodies and chords actually work together. I come from a percussion background, so I’ve always thought of things in a kind of logical, rhythmic way. But going through this process, I started to see the “why” behind songs, how tension and resolution work, how you can tell a story through melody, and how the pieces fit together. Once that clicked, it was like something unlocked in my brain. I finally got it and it feels so cool! Now I can create full songs on my own. I understand how to take an idea and turn it into something real. And it’s impacted my life in a huge way. I feel more aligned with who I am with a new way to express myself creatively. I feel like I’m finally doing what I’m supposed to be doing. My friends have noticed too - they can tell I’m more confident, driven, and more alive. If you’re someone who’s been thinking about making music but you’re scared, or you don’t know where to start, or you think it’s too late, I’ve been there. I’d tell you to take that leap. This program gives you the roadmap, the coaching, the gear, the community, everything you need to actually make it happen. Give yourself permission to take a chance on something you want to do - I waited too long and am so glad I found this program to help me on my musical journey. It’s been wonderful and totally worth it. I can’t wait to make more music!!!— Timothy "Maple Colossus" Allen
Before I started this program, music was just a hobby for me. I’d been working in software development and chasing the idea of becoming a game designer. But deep down, I always knew music was where my heart truly lived. I didn’t have a clear way to share my songs or grow as a creator, and that held me back emotionally and creatively. When I joined this program, everything changed. It connected my love for music with real steps to becoming a professional. I’m learning how to take my ideas seriously, build a brand, and release original work—not just remixes or songs tied to game projects. It gave me the freedom to release music for its own sake, and that’s incredibly fulfilling.I’ve gone from being stuck in a job that didn’t fit me to finally building a career that feels like home. I’ve still got a few tracks in the works, but I already feel like a true music creator. It’s exciting, and I’m more confident now in who I am and where I’m going. What’s made this program so special is the live coaching, the amazing software (FL Studio and Native Instruments opened up a whole new world for me), and the support of a positive, respectful community. We grow together, and that means so much to me.Was I nervous? Yeah. I’m shy. I was worried about being seen, and about the cost too. But the truth is, when you find your passion, you have to be willing to take the risk. And I’m glad I did.To anyone thinking about joining—if your heart is telling you this is what you’re meant to do, listen to it. Don’t hesitate. I would tell my past self: stop living in your head, and let your heart lead. That’s where the real magic happens. Now, with the support of this program and my family, I know I’m on the right path. I'm proud of what I'm making. And I’m just getting started.—Jordan (Radius Infinity)
I was producing music through FL Studio for a few years, but my tracks always lacked emotional significance or relatability. I was looking for the ability to tell a story. Before, something was missing, a level of fulfillment, like an empty space I had to fill through artistic expression. I was yearning for a creative outlet to express myself and tell stories. I was living in anticipation, waiting to fill the gap. Every track I created didn't quite do that, they felt like a sporadic collection of random ideas. I couldn't translate my thoughts and feelings accurately into music. I wasn't confident; my work wasn't living up to my goals. Despite my supportive friends, I was harder on myself, and it affected how I connected with people through my work.I found out about Best Music Coach, LLC. through YouTube, specifically the Terraria Calamity OST reaction. I thought, "Dan has a lot of knowledge and he's very analytical, I want the ability to understand music like him".When the opportunity to sign up came, I saw it as a once-in-a-lifetime chance to really upgrade my skills; so I pursued it.I was skeptical at first, unsure what I was getting into. But diving into the lessons and course showed me how much there was to learn. It made me feel humbled, excited, and inspired to gain skill in what I was looking for.My biggest doubt was whether it was worth the investment, especially financially. Even now, not even finished with the course, I say it's definitely worth it. The knowledge and skill gained in such a short time settled that fear pretty quick.I went through with it because I saw the opportunity and potential, and I was passionate about improving. Pushing through skepticism and fears, I saw this was the path to become who I strive to be.I'm surprised how fast this happened. I can now easily translate my thoughts and emotions through music, backed by technical knowledge. It helps with efficiency and creative freedom. Knowing how to structure compositions and understand musical relationships lets me directly transfer ideas into music. It feels amazing, freeing, liberating. Before, I couldn't keep up with my brain's ideas, so I would easily lose my thoughts as I attempted to put them into a musical piece. but now I can clearly express them. I'm more confident in my work, bonding better with people through my music. One of my goals was to make people feel something through my work. I'm seeing that impact now, subtly, but it'll get stronger. I can connect with people and immerse them in an artistic piece, bringing out emotions like joy, sadness, excitement, frustration, highlighting the humanity in art.If you're on the fence about this program but want to step up your game and connect with others through music, this is a huge step forward. It'll take you from complete beginner to musical master. Even with prior knowledge, I learned so much from the fundamentals, making it beginner-friendly yet deep. The course simplifies creating music, making it less complicated. It provides fundamental ideas to build on, giving a great foundation. The community is amazing, with people in the same boat as me, supporting each other. The Best Music Coach team is incredible, inspiring me daily, even through rough waters and hardships. They have my back, and it's heartwarming to see everyone come together and bring each other up in times of need, and success. If anyone from the Best Music Coach team is reading, I personally thank you. This is life-changing, exactly what I needed. It'll help me carry out my dreams and reach where I strive to be. Thank you for the support, love, and assistance, for being there, even just to listen. This course and the people involved with it are all incredible.
Mainly, I was just making a bunch of random work-in-progress tracks, not really going anywhere with them. I didn’t have much direction, that was the issue. I was just kind of going through the motions basically. An issue I had before was getting a song to my liking and actually releasing it. I would tell people that I make tunes or beats, but I never threw anything out there for anyone to listen to. So it was kind of just a constant waiting game for them. Some people would ask me about it and I’d just say, “No, I don’t write music.” I just didn’t want to talk about it.I found Best Music Coach through an OST reaction. I was hesitant at first, but I said, you know what, I want to make music. It’s a passion I want. So, let’s do it.It’s been very helpful knowing more, because before I actually didn’t know anything about how music gets released after actually making it. It helped with that side and also understanding the music itself that I’m making and listening to on a deeper level. The energy in the courses stands out to me—it leaves me pumped to want to actually do something. Having a community of like-minded people is very helpful for me. I typically do not have that around me. Having others with the same passion really helped push me forward to do the things I want to.Working with Dan is great. He’s very high energy, because I’ll be honest, I am not. I talk slowly, move slowly, think slowly—but having someone much quicker than me definitely helps me get quicker too, and it got the ball rolling very fast.My only doubt before signing up was the financial aspect, but that quickly went away. I just needed to relax and stop being a Mr. Krabs. I joined because I really wanted to improve my music skills, and I wasn’t making much progress on my own. Now, I’d say I’m at a pretty good spot. I can think of how to continue in music much better. I feel much better about writing and sharing my music. I gained a lot more confidence. My biggest win so far is releasing my first proper tune on multiple platforms like Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Spotify. I’ve got a pretty big catalog that’s almost done, and I’m going to make an album out of it.This experience helped me open up and be more vocal. It makes me happy that I can finally do something I’ve wanted my whole life but never fully gave a try. The people around me know me better now. They give positive feedback, and it makes me feel much better being around them. I can show them my music, see how they like it, and start real conversations. If it’s something you really want to make a career out of—or even just a big hobby—I’d say it’s a really good idea to sign up, especially if you’re stuck trying to be self-taught. You’re going to make a lot more progress by signing up for the course.Because where you’re at right now, not making anything of note—you’re just stagnant and have little motivation to do anything big or take any chances. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity right now, and you shouldn’t just let it slip away. It’s what you want to do, and it was given to you right on a silver platter. Just take it.
