I send this email almost 10 days after our move due to going away the following day and not having the time until now to send. I was incredibly disappointed with our move. Upon closer inspection we have had items damaged; grease marks on our new sofa, items scuffed, marked and scraped. Our expensive treadmill; which is why we had someone view to see what we had in terms of weight and items had so much heavy items on it. Explaining to your colleague it has a maximum weight it can go on - he said wont fit everything in if not stacked on the treadmill. He said normally have a second vehicle with gym stuff to avoid this but company “saving money”. We asked for a quote so our equipment would not be damaged. We have not haggled for cheaper and expected to have appropriate sized vehicles for the safe transport of our possessions. We could have easily got a firm who quote over the phone or got a man and a van for our equipment and been significantly cheaper but we were reassured our gym equipment would be looked after. I have not been able to look at the state of the rest of the equipment as the garage is rammed and I cannot get to it. I will need to come back to you with itemised damage; but I am away for 2 weeks so it will need to wait until I get back. I will not be able to see if the treadmill is damaged; as it no doubt is with all the weight placed on it, until I get back and test it. Regarding boxes being placed in correct rooms - we put rooms on the boxes and most of the boxes were in the wrong place so having to move them ourselves - with some suitcases and obvious things for the house being left in the garage. I can understand boxes in the house and its not a huge deal; however it is time consuming and have spent most of the time putting everything in the right room ourselves so may as well not have written anything. Furthermore all our garden planters were left x4 in our previous back garden and x1 in the front. We chose to leave the 7 water butts as could see these would be stacked above the gym equipment and have residual water dripping on the gym equipment. Whilst packing the vehicle at our property I also found your colleagues using my weights, had most of my weights on the bar - so not just starting to use. At the time I laughed it off and pretended to be ok with this; because they had barely started and I didn't want them to do a bad job and then have less respect for out stuff packing, storing and then delivering the following day. But this is very unprofessional. What a huge waste of money with no regard for our expensive equipment. Cannot express how disappointed I am in the service received. Nothing was done by the company as we had sent the complain 10 days after the move due to going away 2 days after the move and not having time to sort everything.
