I’ve just seen ADT’s comparison table and I haven’t laughed this hard since the last time I waited for an ADT response (which took approximately three business years). For a company that’s been around for 150 years, you’d think they’d have mastered a basic Google search, but instead, they’ve gone for "Accidental Comedy."
The irony is the best part: ADT’s chart claims they "have everything" while Verisure has nothing. They’ve slapped big red ‘X’s next to Verisure for "professional installs" and "visual deterrents." That’s news to me! I have a professional engineer who definitely wasn't a ghost setting it all up. And while ADT offers little yellow window stickers that look like they’ve come out of a children’s sticker book, I have big, hard plastic Verisure signs bolted to my wall that literally reflect in the dark.
ADT also claims Verisure doesn’t do "bell boxes." Congratulations, you finally got one thing right! But what’s the point of a noisy box on the wall? I don’t need my neighbors to hear my house is being robbed when I have a Verisure team that responds in less than 30 seconds.
I remember when I actually had ADT; I typed in a duress code, and it took an hour for the police to arrive. When I asked the officers what took so long, they said, "We only just got the call—we were parked three minutes down the road." I’ve literally seen a clock move faster than ADT's dispatch team. You say you’re 150 years old? You certainly act like it with those response times!
Compare that to Verisure: I’ve had medical emergencies, I’ve had the fire brigade, and I’ve had the police. When my house was broken into, the burglars were hit by a Verisure smoke cannon that turned my hallway into a 90s Ibiza rave in three seconds flat. Before the burglars could even find the door, I had a full-scale response. Within 10 minutes, the Police were there, an Ambulance was checking for injuries, and the Fire Brigade was making sure the house was safe after the smoke deployment.
If you have to lie about your competition to make your 150-year-old brand look relevant, you’ve already lost. My advice? Give ADT a miss and go with Verisure. One company provides a sticker book and 60-minute delays; the other actually stops the crime and coordinates a full emergency response before ADT has even finished their morning tea.
Better luck next century, ADT! 1/5 stars for the comedy routine, 0/5 for the facts.
