Bought a Peugeot for my godson October 2021 with a 3 month warranty verbally guaranteed by the seller Andy.Within 2 weeks the ignition coil went and my ashamed godson refused to take the car in to claim on the warranty, just before new year the clutch also went, its a simple visual inspection but can only be done by the garage on the ramp. This should have been covered by the warranty, but the garage claimed it was not under warranty as the car was under £2000. Ok this is internal to the company and on a PC(AKA changes on a whim), nothing is in writing, your 2nd hand vehicle will always be not warrantied since the warranty will cover any vehicle with your purchase price + £1000. Reported in to trading standards Crewe as the company laughs off complaints, and a lack of local government enforcement of trading standards is a big part of that.Edit: In Reply to Reply I will point out any bad publicity you have received here in view of your actions is solely the fault of yourself. Do not blame others, My Cousin(Godson), contacted your office on 3 occasions to have the car repaired. His wife was witness to 2 of these. I would have paid for the car at £1200 if you had in fact replaced the clutch/ignition coil before sale knowing the value of the parts/labour, you and your staff went into denial and fob off mode. Congratulations. You have harmed your reputation.
