Deceptive billing practices:
I hope readers of this review will recognize that sometimes individuals need to move on. I wanted to cancel my subscription and attempted to do so. They don’t provide an email address for cancellation requests, but there is a "Cancel" button in the account section. When I clicked it, it led to a page with options: "Can we help you with an issue? / No thank you, cancel" - I selected the second "cancel" option.
However, when I checked my subscription status, it still indicated "Active" as the renewal date approached. I went to the "Payment Method" section and removed my credit card information. Then, I contacted my bank to lock the virtual card used for the original subscription and eventually deleted that card entirely.
When the renewal period arrived, my bank notified me of a charge labeled "AffiliateWP - $749". It’s baffling because they don’t even offer a package at that price. To add insult to injury, their "refund policy" states:
"...If adequate notice is not received and your credit card is charged, you will not receive a refund. Renewals are non-refundable." There is no straightforward way to exit this situation, folks!!! I am at a loss for words...
