Just yesterday, my car was repossessed by the company. Last week, I was playing phone tag with them. Today, I called to inquire about the payment needed to retrieve my car. They included September's payment, which isn't due until the 8th and has a 15-day grace period. That’s fine, but when the representative quoted me a $1050 repossession fee, I was shocked. Her sarcastic apology and assumption that I wouldn't pay was disheartening. I just started a new job, and their outdated system doesn't allow direct deposit for first checks, so I had to wait for my paycheck, which was today. On top of the $1050, there’s a nearly $45 processing fee for debit card payments only. It's disappointing how customers are treated. Additionally, my car was taken from my private property. I realize I should have been paying, but I wasn't even 60 days late. Life happens. I plan to pay to retrieve my car and manage payments moving forward, but that $1050 fee is absolutely outrageous, and the company should be embarrassed. I used to speak highly of them, but not anymore. I look forward to paying off this car and moving on. Also, the towing company holding my car is only open from 10 AM to 1 PM on weekdays. What a scam? Some people work during those hours, but I’ll make arrangements to get my car because I am paying.
