First, in transit from Toronto to RDU, Air Canada lost my bag. The baggage office was closed for the day at the airport because no one showed up to man it. The supervisor was busy, so had to wait for an hour to file a lost bag claim because my flights back from Asia were rebooked twice because of flight cancelations and I was blocked from doing online myself. After 2 hours at the airport, I was given a lost bag claim number (with no documents because there was "no way to print" at the ticket counter). The claim number was not valid. Waited on the phone on hold 2.5 hours, someone live finally spoke with me, said that she didn't know what to do, please hold for a few minutes. After 4 hours and 15 minutes, I hung up. No lost bag claim #, no service, no way to ever know what's going on with my luggage. I will never, ever fly AC and their partner carriers again. Oh, I paid for business class as well. What a massive slap in the face. I probably will never see my belongings again. UPDATE: the claim record was "unfindable" because the ticketing agent that set up the claim spelled my name wrong (even though she had my passport in hand to spell it). Cannot make this stuff up. This is NOT over by a longshot. Stay tuned.
