We were told the charge was $139 to come out and diagnose the issue with the A/C. We were told if we elected to have Aire Serv do the work the $139 is typically taken off of the bill and they just charge for the repair. After your technician discovered it was a blown fuse, he changed the fuse, and then told us the cost would be $361.38. We asked him to show us an itemized statement because this seemed very high for the work done. The technician said he could not show us any type of itemization. We paid the bill. Two days later, after the 4th of July holiday, we called the local Aire Serv in Edmond, OK. The manager told us it is a computer generated process and they do not know how the pricing is done. The manager went on saying that they have to pay for technicians, vans, an office, repair parts, etc. and that last year they only made a 3% profit. My husband asked who could explain this "computer generated bill" to him. The manager said the owner could. He asked to speak to the owner. The manager said, "Oh, you'll never be able to speak with him.” That was the end of the conversation.I think their business is based on people buying annual contracts for service. If you don’t have one you get very poor treatment. In the billing email it included a contract for the Aire Serv Advantage Plan for an additional $213.We called Aire Serv thinking they were a reputable and trustworthy company. This is a shameful way to do business. We will file a complaint and let the community know via our reviews.
