AVOID. A Danger to Your Life. I would urge anyone considering this service to think twice, what we experienced this morning, with a transfer my wife booked in Portugal, was nothing short of terrifying.
The vehicle that arrived was old, worn, and in a genuinely poor state of repair. It smelled badly inside, and at one point during our 60-minute journey the windows steamed up so heavily that visibility was severely compromised, the driver made happily drove like this for several minutes before turning the heating fan on for a minute.
The driver never spoke a single word to us for the entire journey, which under normal circumstances might be fine, but given his driving style it became deeply unsettling. He drove at breakneck speed throughout, and at one point we found ourselves hurtling at full speed towards a car stopped at a red light. The driver only noticing at the last second, before slamming on the brakes and swerving violently into the next lane to avoid what would have absolutely been a catastrophic high-speed collision. I am not being dramatic when I say I genuinely feared for the lives of my wife, our daughter and myself. I have serious doubts as to whether this driver holds a valid taxi licence or whether the vehicle carries the appropriate taxi insurance.
This is not an acceptable standard of service, it is a safety risk to passengers and other road users. We paid in good faith for a transfer and got absolutely appalling service. Seriously consider if you can get a better service, with locally vetted drivers and vehicles.
