After only 5 months I started having issues with the motor overheating. I did not overfill, or put items in the composter that was not made for the machine, or run the machine constantly. I tried to call customer service 5 times, with no option to leave a message,so I sent an email. I finally then get a call back. Customer asked me questions I had already answered in the email. So then she sends me to another rep who responded to me via email with additional instructions to test the composter which did not mimic the process that caused the issue. Why only put water in the bin to test if a motor over heats?? So I respond to them stating the motor did not ovetheat, it happens with food. Then they respond 2 days later with jargon about "reducing the proportion of high-starch and high-sugar content in the mix". Its a composter not a science project! Customer service is horrible, and drag the process out by having you doing machine tests and emails just to get you to do more quality control checks. So anything not to replace a faulty item and to not honor their warranty. Do not buy if you dont want any headaches.
