I'm extremely disappointed with Alden York and honestly feel like this was a scam operation.What Went Wrong:Ordered 100% LINEN shirts, received POLYESTER garbage insteadWaited 16 days for deliveryReturn shipping cost was outrageous and NOT mentioned anywhere on their websiteThey tried to get me to keep the fake product with a measly 20% refundThe Runaround:When I first complained, they offered me a "partial refund" to keep the polyester shirts I never ordered, or a "free replacement" where I'd still have to pay shipping. Are you kidding me? I paid $342.92 for linen and got polyester!I asked if they even had a US address because the whole thing felt like a scam. They gave me an address in Peekskill, NY, but I still wasn't convinced this was legitimate.Only Fixed It After Threats:It wasn't until I told them I had contacted my bank to dispute the charge AND that I was filing complaints with the FTC, BBB, and my state's consumer protection agency that they suddenly offered a full refund with no return required. Funny how that works, right?Bottom Line:They only did the right thing when I threatened legal action and chargebacks. The fact that they send you completely different products than advertised and then make it nearly impossible to return feels very much like a scam to me.I got my money back, but ONLY because I fought for it.
