Aldi Hamilton Palace Grounds. Used to enjoy shopping here, prices were great and didn’t mind the service at the checkout because at least it was fast. Yesterday though was awful. Prices now are pretty much on par with other retailers. My store now has self scan checkouts. Not been in a while but had a full trolley, no normal checkouts open so had to go through a selfscan which was a nightmare. After starting the stupid staff member told me I should have asked for a normal till to be opened. No- a normal till should have been open anyway. Worst part is, after constantly having to have a staff member override the system, I got to the payment screen for the staff member to come up behind and tell me she needs to cancel the payment so she can scan through another bag. What??? After struggling to scan a full shop they can’t even overlook an extra cheap bag? Joke of a store!!!
