I purchased travel insurance from Allianz for a trip to Paris, which I had to cancel due to a medical issue — my doctor scheduled a routine follow-up for my cancer recovery on the very day of departure.Allianz refused my claim, calling it a “pre-existing condition”. This was not a sudden illness, but a scheduled medical necessity. Their lack of empathy is astonishing.To make matters worse, I was asked to complete endless forms, which were then changed, forcing me to repeat the entire process — all seemingly designed to delay and ultimately deny my claim.This has been an appalling experience.
