I am now making this public due to the way Allianz has handled my insurance claim.
I submitted a claim in November, and it is now April with no resolution. Despite providing all requested documentation multiple times, I continue to be asked for the same information again. This feels less like a genuine review process and more like unnecessary delay.
At one stage, I was clearly advised that the claim would be paid following submission of documents. I have retained a recording of this communication as evidence. Despite this, Allianz have continued to delay the claim and introduce further checks.
I have already provided valid receipts, yet Allianz are now attempting to contact third parties such as Apple and Louis Vuitton to verify items. This is excessive and unreasonable, particularly where items may have been received as gifts. It gives the impression that Allianz are looking for reasons not to pay out rather than handling the claim fairly.
I have been paying for insurance for over 15 years and this is my first ever claim. The level of scrutiny and delay I am experiencing is completely disproportionate.
This has caused unnecessary stress, particularly as a vulnerable customer. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise others to think carefully before relying on Allianz for insurance.
I will continue to pursue this matter through formal escalation until it is resolved properly.
