Absolutely appalling experience with Allianz Insurance through the brokerage CETA Insurance. I cancelled my motorhome policy within 24 hours, well inside the 14-day cooling-off period, and despite no claims being made or pending, they are keeping nearly £200 of my £211 deposit for add-ons like breakdown cover and legal expenses.
Their policy documents are contradictory, their staff do not know their own terms and conditions, and keep you on hold for 2 hours, are confusing and unhelpful, and their actions are completely contrary to their own policy wording and FCA rules. This feels like a blatant attempt to rip off customers, withholding money for products I never used.
I am escalating this to the Financial Ombudsman Service and will not stop until this is resolved. Avoid CETA Insurance for Allianz Insurance at all costs - terrible company, terrible service, and a total lack of fairness.
I’ve followed up several times regarding my post-hospitalization claims. The promised deadline for the refund has exceeded and now I am hesitant to attend my next DRs appointment

Best car insurance provider in the UK for my opinions! Most of the things including changes can be done on client portal online, best add ons (breakdown cover, legal aid etc) for very reasonable price, no unfair administrative charges, no hidden charges, more importantly low reasonable premium insurance price. For swapping same make, same model, exactly identical details, I think it costed a lot. But, as at this point there is no reasonable alternative, they feel entitled to charge whatever they want. It’s a shame. It’s just taking advantage of the customers.
Long time Allianz life customer, suffered debilitating back pain 3 months ago. Cannot sit in a car, cannot fly. Policy is 4k+ PA. Despite being fully covered (Allianz even says I am covered), I have been denied funds for treatment now for 3 months whilst they investigate the possibility that I may have had this issue before I took out the policy. It's BS of course - all my doctor's going back years have confirmed this in writing to them. At the end of the day, this company doesn't care a crap if you suffer, or about your health. Now, I am convinced they just want rid of me because I am likely to cost them money in the future. Hence the crap service. Multiple follow ups, multiple complains result in nothing. If you actually want coverage rather than a fight when you need help most, avoid these people at all cost.
We recently took trip to St. Maarten. We purchased travel insurance from Allianz at the cost of over $100 per person in which there was three of us. The airspace was shut down due our countries (USA) bombing and invading Venezuela. We were delayed with our trip returning by 5 days. Over those 5 days we incurred expenses due to flight interruptions with costs reaching into the thousands with food and stay as St. Maarten is not a cheap place to be in.
We assumed our Allianz Travel Insurance would help with covering most of these costs as this was text book why you buy Travel Insurance. When we finally returned home we turned in our claim to Allianz Travel Insurance Claims and jumped through all hoops. Two weeks later we were contacted via Email our claim was denied. We were shocked. We filed an appeal in protest only to be denied on our appeal.
They did have in their policy some reasons for denial but never really explained what portion of policy applied for the denial. Very Slick Company. When I read through the policy , I discovered their policy covers very little events of Flight Disruption and a few medical reasons for Flight Disruption. Their Policy is in my opinion a scam. Allianz is not an upstanding company and Buyer Beware Policy is not good for the normal consumer. Please read their Policy before purchasing travel insurance and please read all the things that they do not cover. You will see this Travel Insurance covers very very little and that the company has many loop holes to use to deny claims. Will never buy from them ever again. If you look on their website you will see there is no where to even write a review , there is a reason for that. Do not buy from them please.
Easy to use and fill out for car insurance. Then what really made the difference was the initial deposit expected as I pay monthly. So much lower than all the other sites and providers.. Extremely happy :-)
This insurance company is not as good as what people think. I have joined Allianz for 2 years and 3 month and they tried subtly for me to put down the claim and cancel the policy
My experience with the company and its partners is quite troubling, as none of the information provided during my refund call with their representatives guided me properly. The expectations were not clearly explained, and had they been, I would have taken the necessary steps to meet their requirements. Instead, I was told to file a claim to receive my refund, without any mention of needing to see a doctor within 72 hours and submit a doctor's report. In my view, the practices of the company and its partners raise significant ethical issues. Customers are required to make upfront payments, yet when a legitimate situation occurs, they complicate the process of obtaining support or recovering funds. Additionally, providing misleading or incomplete information to avoid issuing refunds is unacceptable. This situation is unfair, and I plan to share my experience on various platforms and with relevant parties. The public deserves to be informed about the company's business practices. While this has been a challenging lesson, it won't stop me from advocating for what is right and ensuring my story is heard. I will continue to collaborate with others to ensure this matter does not simply fade away.
Incredibly Easy Experience!
In under 2 minutes, I successfully updated my policy by removing my private plate and switching it back to the original one, all without any administrative fees! If only other providers could offer such a straightforward process! Kudos to the service team.
