We were contacted by Allstar who had all the chat all the promises when offering our company new fuel cards, we explained we have always self funded fuel using our own company debit cards. Once set up Allstar then took the agreed on time DD payments weekly and they provided a simple clear statement which was very good especially for our accounts and prevents us loosing any receipts which was important. I was very happy, After a few months out of the blue they explained in an email that other companies were struggling and they were now offering struggling companies extended credit up to 60 days for a shocking 4.99% a month. We don’t need extended terms or finance and declined the offer saying we will continue the same weekly DD payment format. they came back via email a week later saying we were now a high risk for fuel lol, and would be moved to a high risk bond method. our company is very healthy and has never borrowed, never had any financial issues and has been trading for 25 years, it seems they only want to get more money from us. We had no option but to cancel Allstar, we have replaced Allstar with a major fuel supplier. I will add, it’s virtually impossible to talk to Allstar after the initial agreement. shame what a waste of time. i did like the weekly statements which the new provider uses.
