I booked through a third party and not directly. Upon collection, there were two staff members checking the vehicle with my partner, and they noted numerous scratches, which he ensured were documented. However, we did not receive a copy of this documentation, just the contract. Returning the car was where everything went wrong; I was accused of a dent that I believe was caused by an older staff member during the check-in process. He claimed that if we had booked directly, this wouldn't have happened and charged us €200, which we had to pay to avoid missing our flight. We had booked full insurance through the third party, so I hope it covers this, but I am still fighting to get my money back. I will not use either service again.
