I booked a flight from Malaysia to China and requested an additional seat. Following their advice, I made a new booking with names matching the passports.
At check-in, I was denied boarding because the company provided shortened middle names, and they deemed the second booking a duplicate.
The airline even suggested I seek a refund directly from them. However, the company refused and categorized my inability to board due to their errors as a "cancellation." They only offered a partial refund according to their cancellation terms.
I am currently disputing this through my credit card to recover my funds.
