Misleading Rules and Unfair Payout Denial
I’m leaving this review after a very disappointing experience with Alpha Capital Group.
I followed all the rules stated in their onboarding email, including the 1% risk and cooling-off requirements. Despite this, my payout was denied and my account was reset based on a rule interpretation that was never clearly communicated.
They claimed I violated the “Cooling-Off Period,” but my cumulative loss on the symbol at the time of the alleged violation was below 1%, meaning the rule had not actually been triggered yet. Only after a later trade did losses exceed 1%. Their own example in the email contradicts the reason they provided for the breach.
When I asked for clarification, the explanation kept shifting, and it felt like they changed the interpretation after the fact to justify denying the payout.
I’ve traded with many prop firms, and I’ve never seen rules applied in such an inconsistent and unclear way. Transparency is essential in this industry, and unfortunately this experience felt misleading and unfair.
My previous 3 payouts to this 1 have also been denied I can confirm only 1 denial I feel was valid due to high impact news on my fx book, but I didn’t know they use that to check, I check forex factory for news. & the last 1 was due to spreads, I risked just over 0.9% & when my S/L was hit I lost 1.1%, they told me I breached the 1% risk rule & denied a $5000 payout, they then said they can confirm the spreads wasn’t excessive enough at the time to cause that but provided no proof when I asked to confirm the risk I used if they can see it wasn’t excessive, but I got no response
I hope they improve their communication and honor their rules consistently, because traders deserve clarity—not retroactive rule changes.
