Really disappointed.After being placed on furlough, then losing my job to then finding out I was pregnant I had to change my car. I gathered an early settlement figure from their Operations Manager back in July, which was paid off in full 2 weeks later. Months later I received a letter advising I still owed them a monthly payment - after trying to call them and email them multiple times with no correspondence to find out why I owe this money, I eventually gave up trying. Myself and my partner then found out last week that I was in default due to not making this payment. I still had no explanation as to why this payment was due, nor was I made aware of it when I got my settlement figure. Turns out - the settlement figure is minus your monthly payment (I was on a payment holiday, so wasn’t due to make one that month anyway). This was explained to me over the phone after waiting 2.5 hours for them to pick up.Extremely frustrated, upset and confused. This has now impacted my future due to my credit score being severely affected due to their lack of communication - and due to being on maternity pay, my credit file won’t change for at least another 15 months, as this is the only way I can afford to pay it off.The company show no remorse or willingness to help. I am now considering taking my finance for my new car elsewhere - as dealing with this company again fills me with nothing but dread.
