This is a genuine review following first hand experience with this company.
Headed to Avoriaz for 4 days skiing and chose A2A for the private transfer. Reasonable costs for this service so booked it.
Upon arrival in Geneva arrivals hall one minute before the meet and greet time slot, we searched up and down but no driver holding a digital or similar name board. After 5 mins looked on app to track driver who was showing as at McDonald's so text him. After a further 20 mins still showing as McDonald's so called with no answer. 30 mins after agreed time driver calls to say he is in the hall but he wasn't. I eventually saw him come through the door in a rush as we were still on the phone. He didn't speak English and didn't acknowledge his tardiness.
The worst of our experience was on the way home. Three crashes and missed flights...
Yes the weather was heavy snow, yes there issues on the mountain road, but other companies had sent appropriate vehicles 4x4, or 2 WD equipped with snow chains. The driver had refused to fit chains as he "have to get to airport for next customer so no time". Despite pleading with him he refuses and then the 3rd crash happened. Didn't care we had very young children with us. The driver deserted us to sit with a colleague I assume in another vehicle and for over 2 hours we we left there.
We contacted the emergency support chat on the App and they were useless telling us to make other arrangements to get down the mountain. Also promised another vehicle was coming and it wasn't. This was a very dangerous position we were put in and the lack of driver safety, care and customer support was shocking. We had to pay £650 for alternative flights and travel and A2A have refused to support us. The lack of support, belief in our feedback or agreement that he should have put snow chains on is frankly appalling. I'm sure they'll reply to this just as they have us saying severe weather and drivers are trained in safety and protocols etc etc, but I ask this... Who was in the car witnessing the events unfold, who watched other transfer companies drive by looking at us whilst they had chains on wondering why we didn't. If you value safety do not use, you've been warned
