Okay, so here's the thing about ALX: they don't just teach you the technical skills. They equip you with both hard skills AND workplace skills. Like how to show up, how to communicate, and how to carry yourself professionally. That honestly caught me off guard in the best way. It felt complete, you know? Like they are actually trying to build you into someone who can thrive in a real job, not just someone who can pass a test. That was a big realisation for me.Now for the not-so-fun part. The content. Look, sometimes the material provided just isn't enough (or I can say comprehensible). I found myself constantly jumping to YouTube, looking for other experts who could explain things in a way that actually clicked. It got frustrating because a section that should have taken a couple of hours would end up taking almost twice as long, easily. That part hurt. If it is by design, it would help to let the learners know upfront.But here is the thing, I am still proud to say I am ALX. The struggle was real, but so was the growth. If you're someone who doesn't mind going and looking for answers when the material falls short, you'll be fine. Just know what you're signing up for.
