I had never had a software engineering or CS internship before, and was super lost coming into the program. The program helped me go from zero to being quite confident in my interview capabilities (not to mention getting the interviews to begin with).Pros:- Accountability (the program will keep you focused and grinding until you get your internship, probably one of the most understated benefits)- Better resume and linkedin- Better application strategy (basically getting referrals through messaging alumni from your school that work at companies you want to work at, or even just random people if the company is smaller)- Better coding and behavioral interviewing skills (behavioral part is especially worked on as people don't focus on it nearly enough)Cons:- Expensive (that said, if the program gets you an internship rather than none, or a better internship, it more than pays for itself)- You get the most support within the first 2 months of the program, so if you join outside of the main hiring season for the companies you're going for, your experience might be a bit harder.Who I'd recommend the program to:- "Beginner candidates" who are lost (the "application business" rewards those who know how to nail their applications and interviews, if you're currently a "mid" candidate, this program will undoubtedly help you.- "Intermediate candidates" who are going for that next level (big name companies, FANG, quant, etc). Since you get to choose who you apply to, if you only apply for that level of company and don't get an offer, you get your money back.Who I wouldn't recommend the program to:- People who just can't afford the initial big investment- People who are extremely self motivated and already have access to materials and/or the knowledge to get a good resume, technical interview, and behavioural interview skills.Hope this helps!TLDR: Expensive, but was well worth the investment to me, I have no regrets.
